Cloud song

I have been listening to Dan Snaith’s work for more than 15 years. His albums are dense and challenging and beautiful.

This is such a beautiful song. I have a playlist that has been growing for nearly a year and was listening last night. I was touched.

I was really moved by the ebb and flow of the music. The chiming sound and ripples of emotion. And the expression of time and love.

We all are in this world like clouds – shifting and moving and passing. And moving from sky to rain to river and sea – again and again.

If you love me, come hold me now
Come tell me what to do
I’m broken, so tired of crying
Just hold me close to you

I'm a lifelong music lover living in Boston with my husband, son and mother in law. Music has always played a big part in my life and I would like to share some stories and thoughts about songs that I love.

  1. When you’re alone with your memories
I’ll give you a place to rest your head
Time is fading out our melodies
    Until there’s nothing left unsaid
It stops but it won’t start over
Drawn in the sand beneath the waves
Why can’t we catch our lightning
And leave our mark upon the page?
If you love me, come hold me now
Come tell me what to do
I’m broken, so tired of crying
Can’t seem to find my way to you
No one is granted an eternity
Nothing lasts, it all will fade
And yet it always ends too early
With things unsaid and debts unpaid
If you love me, come hold me now
Come tell me what to do
I’m broken, so tired of crying
Can’t seem to find my way to you
If you love me, come hold me now
Come tell me what to do
I’m broken, so tired of crying
Just hold me close to you
